Car hire services and optional extras
Avis Preferred: Our new three-tiered scheme extends to Germany. We reward both leisure and corporate customers from their second rental. Enjoy additional benefits and a range of exclusive offers.Out-of-hours return: Our car hire branches close at 5 pm over the weekend but this won’t present a problem. We are happy for you to return your car whenever is most convenient for you.
Breakdown assistance: If you breakdown or are involved in an accident anywhere in Germany, please contact our free 24-hour roadside assistance team. You’ll find the free phone number in your car rental agreement document.
Satellite navigation: Most of our vehicles come equipped with satellite navigation. Otherwise, you can rent a mobile GPS device from us at an additional charge.
Child seats: Children under 12 and under 1.5 m in height must use an appropriate child restraint. Just let us know when you make your booking so that we can provide the correct baby, safety or booster seat for your child.
Snow chains/ski racks: If you’re visiting during the winter, don’t forget to ask for winter tyres, snow chains, ice scrapers and ski racks. Particularly if you’re heading off into the mountains.
