Avis Car Rental rates are valid using a minimum of 2 days rental in all regions. A minimum 2 day rental is required and rentals do not need to include a Saturday & Sunday.
No additional drivers will be permitted on weekend rentals except for direct family members.
If you are renting over a weekend an additional "weekend authorisation" will be taken for the duration of the rental as follows:
Applicable to Western Cape only: R3,500 (on all car groups)
- During weekends, R3,500 is payable when producing a boarding pass, should no boarding pass be presented, then you are liable to pay R7,000 as an authorisation.
- During the week, R3,500 will be payable irrespective of a boarding pass being present as an authorisation.
The additional weekend authorisation will be waived from airport locations upon presentation of a valid airline boarding pass/e-ticket printout.
Remember to factor in the amount that will be held against your credit card, so you have enough to spend on your journey.
Once the car has been returned your credit card will be debited with the final amount due. The authorisation amount will be released within the time frame as stipulated by your own banking institution.
