Avis Preferred Members Giveaway – Absa Run Your City Gqeberha 10km Race Entry Terms and Conditions

1. Organiser This giveaway (the "Giveaway") is organised and promoted by ZENITH Car Rental PTY LTD t/a Avis Rent a Car South Africa ("Avis", "we", "us" or "our"), a company duly registered in the Republic of South Africa. The Giveaway is administered in association with the Absa Run Your City Series organisers where applicable.
2. Eligibility
   • The Giveaway is open only to active Avis Preferred members ("Eligible Participants") who are South African residents aged 18 years or older at the time of entry.
   • Participants must hold a valid Avis Preferred membership account in good standing.
   • Employees, directors, agents, or immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling) of Avis, its affiliates, advertising agencies, prize suppliers, or any party involved in the administration of this Giveaway are not eligible to enter or win.
   • Entries are limited to one (1) per Avis Preferred member. Multiple entries from the same member will result in disqualification.
3. Giveaway Period
   • Entries open immediately upon publication of the Giveaway and close at 23:59 South African Standard Time on 25 February 2026 ("Closing Date").
   • No entries will be accepted after the Closing Date.
4. How to Enter
   • To enter, Eligible Participants must complete the official Giveaway entry form provided by Avis (online form accessible via Avis communication channels, website, email, or app notification to Avis Preferred members).
   • Participants must provide accurate personal details as requested on the form, including full name, Avis Preferred membership number, contact number, email address, and any other required information.
   • No purchase or rental is required to enter. Entry is free.
   • Entries must be submitted in the participant's own name and must comply with all instructions on the entry form.
5. Prize
   • The prize consists of one (1) complimentary entry (including race number/bib) into the Absa Run Your City Gqeberha 10km race scheduled for 1 March 2026 (or the official event date as confirmed by the race organisers).
   • The prize is for the winner only and can be transferred to an individual but not for cash
   • The prize does not include: travel to/from Gqeberha, accommodation, transport, meals, parking, personal expenses, race-related merchandise, medical costs, insurance, or any other incidental costs. Winners are responsible for all such arrangements and costs.
   • The prize is subject to the official race terms, conditions, rules, and waiver of the Absa Run Your City Gqeberha 10km event (available at runyourcityseries.com or via the race organiser). Winners must comply with all race requirements, including registration, medical clearance (if applicable), and event day rules.
6. Winner Selection and Notification
   • Winners will be selected by random electronic draw from all valid entries received by the Closing Date. The draw will take place within approximately 3 (three) business days after the Closing Date.
   • Winners will be notified via email and/or telephone using the contact details provided in the entry form, within approximately 3 (three) business days of the draw.
   • If a winner cannot be contacted after 3 (three) reasonable attempts within 48 hours of notification, or fails to respond/claim the prize within the stipulated time, or is ineligible, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected at Avis's discretion.
   • Avis's decision regarding the winner is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. Prize Acceptance and Delivery
   • Winners must confirm acceptance of the prize and provide any required documentation (e.g., ID verification) within the timeframe specified in the notification.
   • The race entry will be arranged directly with the race organiser on behalf of the winner. Winners will receive confirmation and instructions from Avis or the race organiser.
   • Prizes are not redeemable for cash, cannot be exchanged, and are subject to availability.
8. General Conditions
   • By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and the decisions of Avis, which are final and binding.
   • Avis reserves the right to disqualify any entry or participant suspected of fraud, cheating, or breach of these Terms and Conditions.
   • Avis is not responsible for technical failures, lost/delayed entries, or any factors beyond its reasonable control that may affect entry or prize delivery.
   • Participants indemnify Avis, its affiliates, and the race organisers against any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the Giveaway or use/enjoyment of the prize (except for liability that cannot be excluded by law).
   • Participants acknowledge the inherent risks of participating in a road running event and accept responsibility for their own safety and fitness to participate.
   • Avis reserves the right to amend, extend, or terminate the Giveaway at any time without prior notice if circumstances beyond its control make it necessary.
9. Personal Information and Publicity
   • By entering, participants consent to Avis collecting, processing, and using their personal information (name, contact details, Avis Preferred membership details) for purposes of administering the Giveaway, contacting winners, and verifying eligibility.
   • Personal information will be handled in accordance with Avis's Privacy Policy and applicable South African data protection laws (including POPIA).
   • Winners agree to reasonable publicity (e.g., name and photograph in Avis communications or social media) related to winning the prize, unless prohibited by law.
10. Applicable Law These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
