That’s why we’ve introduced our new digital check-in feature which allows you to provide us with all the details we need, so we can complete your rental agreement before you arrive to collect your hire vehicle.
Avis Preferred Member?
As an Avis Preferred member with priority service you don't need to use digital check-in.
How it works
You can check-in from the moment you’ve completed your booking. You will need your driving licence and a payment card on hand, because these details will be required during the check-in process. But if you don’t have all the information with you at the time of booking, you’ll be free to use digital check-in anytime that suits you up to two hours before your indicated collection time.
Don’t worry, we’ll send you a few reminders by email should you forget.
And that’s it, you’re ready to go.
On the day
You don’t need to print anything – just remember to bring your driving licence and payment card(s)*, and your passport or ID card, on hand for quick verification and a signature.
Once verified, we'll hand you the keys to a thoroughly cleaned and disinfected vehicle both inside and out - so you can drive with confidence.
- The payment card presented when collecting the car must be in the renters name and the same payment card that was used at the time of booking.
- Two payment cards are required at the counter for Group I (e.g. Toyota Fortuner) rentals, one of which must be a credit card.
And that’s it, you’re good to start your journey, with minimal fuss.
Priority service with Avis Preferred
If you’re an Avis Preferred member with an upcoming booking, you don’t need to use digital check-in.
Don’t forget, as an Avis Preferred member you can enjoy priority service when collecting your vehicle. If you’ve downloaded the Avis app, you can use the app to bypass the counter altogether in certain locations.
