Johannesburg Airport Car Rental
Johannesburg Airport is the busiest airport in Africa, and Avis will be there to meet your car hire requirements. We have an information kiosk on the ground floor of Terminal B. Hired Cars are collected from the parking garage across the road from the terminal's entrance. We recommend that you book your car hire now to ensure that the vehicle you require is waiting for you when you arrive. About Johannesburg Airport
Information kiosks are located in each of the terminals. Baggage trolleys and porter services are available at designated areas in each terminal and at the various drop-off zones. For security reasons, visitors should only use the blue-uniformed porters displaying Airports Company of South Africa (ACSA) authorised permits. Any porters or related services should be paid in local currency (South African Rand) only.
VAT refunds can be obtained from the VAT Refund counter situated in the lounge in Terminal 6, which is the international departures terminal. To allow easy processing of invoices, please ensure that they are all stamped by customs before submitting them. Customs is located in the Terminals public concourse.
Duty Free Shopping There are extensive duty-free shopping opportunities at the airport. You can select from international brands in the categories of sportswear, tobacco, fragrances, jewellery, toys and electronics. The star attraction is the main duty-free shop, Big Five Duty Free, which is second only in size to Heathrow’s premier duty-free shop.
